My review

The moment Talia and Jagger sit next to each other in an airplane, it’s crystal-clear they couldn’t be more different. Talia can be best described as ‘vanilla’, and with her strict upbringing, she has never done anything out of line. The most rebellious thing she has done, is just recently, having a flashing haircut after finding out that her fiancé has been cheating on her. But no matter what curveballs Life throws her, she still remains the chirpy southern girl, showering everyone with kindness, help and a lovely chat. However, what nobody knows, is that Talia has a sexy bucket list, based on all the steamy romances she has been reading. When Talia finds herself stuck at Club Protocol with jagger after a snowstorm, and she realizes that the club is in fact a BDSM club, she is intrigued by it. And even if she is stuck with the biggest grumpasaurus, temptation is too hard to resist. But Jagger doesn’t mess with girls like Talia, so innocent. But somehow her character brings out his dominance and he cannot resist her. However, with them being to different, when will happen when the snow will literally disappear in the sun?

I love this author, with everything that I have! Even when amazing Las writes about something that isn’t completely my vibe (will come back to this later on), she still keeps on surprising me with amazing stories, without ever being repetitive in a way!

When I say that Talia and Jagger couldn’t be more different, that truly is the understatement of the century.

Talia is absolutely the good girl next door, always following the rules, and even when she doesn’t, she is ready to face the consequences.

If it’s typical for a Southern girl, I don’t know (I am Belgian and Italian, how would I ever possibly know what typical Southern American girls are like! 😊) but Talia is also a family – girl. Also her strict upbringing has to do with it, but whatever her parents ask from her, she follows (perhaps even too meekly).

That also brings her in the situation that she is an adult, but also a rather innocent one. She never had a rebellious streak, and even in the bedroom it’s all limited to one session. And we all know that the first time isn’t really something to be proud of.

However, I liked it how Talia for sure has some secrets she has been keeping from everyone! 😉 It was just too hilarious to discover what her favourite kind of books are. And I ABSOLUTELY loved it to discover that she even has made a steamy bucket list! I think I could add several of her items on a bucket list of my own!

Her bubbly character is at big contrast with Jagger. Because all he wants, is to be left alone, and he doesn’t want to chitchat with strangers. But I had to admire how he tried yet I laughed when he failed when Talia just didn’t up 😊 (circumstantial or not).

When a snowstorm makes them spend the night at Club Protocol, I was very eager to see what would be happening. I knew it would be only a matter of time for the fireworks to start, but wow, how did they fly around!

I am used reading very heated moments, but I have to admit, while I was devouring this book, I had to give myself a few time – outs, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to continue reading.

But while things got VERY heated (in the book, people, IN THE BOOK!), I loved reading about Jagger’s patience and reassurances towards Talia, even if he is a real dominant. He knows this is a whole new world opening up for Talia and that she needs a few moments to digest everything. On the other hand, with this whole new world, Talia also discovers things about herself too!

Now, yes, this is a very steamy book. But it’s not only about the hanky-panky. Because not only Talia has to make some important choices about her own life, but also Jagger has still so many demons to fight. And that is for sure not a walk in the park for this pair, as it’s a big leap in the dark.

Las, The Amazing Author Who Deserves Her Own Crown And Throne, manages perfectly to put into words all those struggles and has found the perfect balance of steaminess, seriousness and lightness.

So why did I give this amazing book ‘just’ four stars instead of the usual five that I give this author? (if I could, it would have been a four and ¾ !)Well, it’s about the Daddy – kink. Don’t get me wrong, everyone is free to have the kink they want, and if that’s a Daddy – kink for you, that’s perfectly okay! But for me, it didn’t add anything extra  to the story. I understand it’s all about feeling protected, safe, and loved. Nevertheless, it fits perfectly both characters and the evolution they are going through. So while I don’t see myself ever having a Daddy – kink, I can understand the intrigue and attraction of it. Everyone is different and everyone is allowed to feel and be aroused by what they want, even if society may see it as a taboo!

Lasairiona once again wrote a book that had me hooked from the first page until the very last one!
