The only regret I have is that I haven’t read the first part…

This book can be perfectly read as a standalone, but if you know what happened previously, it’s easier to understand everyone better.

There are several references to the first part and I think it would make this story clearer.

Beside this small remark, it was a lovely story to read.

Jess struggles with so many emotions at the same time, sadness after the loss sweet old Emily, joy after she finds out she’s expecting, nervous as she’ll be married Jack soon and then suddenly a man appears claiming to be her father and has a little girl with him, Lily, his young daughter.

On top of everything, Lily’s mother, Annie, isn’t ever gonna win the award for ‘Best mother in the world’ and is chasing Lily to save her own miserable life.

Who is expecting a relaxing story, has to seriously reconsider… a lot of dramatic events take place in this book,and after each event my thoughts were: ‘How will Jess recover from this new uppercut?’

Jess is such a strong young woman but is also lucky to have her sister Maddie and her soon to be husband Jack by her side.

Fortunately this story isn’t all about drama, but the chapters switch to a lighter mood, giving the reader a chance to take a breath.

These lighter moods shows you the perks of being part of a wonderfulfamily, to have your sister by your side and stands with you with every decision you make, a loving man who has his own struggles but does everything in his power to make you happy.

And also how to accept the new additions to your little family, even those you didn’t expect.

This story drags you in it and won’t release you until you have reached the end. I started on a Friday evening reading and to my shame/pride I’ve reached the end on Sunday…

So if this isn’t proof of a well written book…
