Time for another review!
Synopsis
After a shocking confrontation with an unexpected encounter, Constance tries to piece her life back together and is on a mission to finally move on.
The thought of having her friends near is comforting as they take time out of their busy online lives and meet up at their favourite place, A Cupful of Dreams Café. Everyone seems happy enough until cracks begin to show and all is not as good as it seems. Constance tries desperately to keep positive as there’s so much to look forward to: shopping for posh frocks, dinner at The Shard and a movie premiere.
As things start to look rosy, a few odd tweets begin to pop up from nowhere. At first, they seem innocent, but as the weeks go by and premier night draws near, not only do the tweets increase but they become more obnoxious.
By the time Constance and her chums arrive on the red carpet, she’s determined to work out who the troll could be and to keep them from spoiling her evening. However as Constance soon learns, the troll wants to destroy far more than that!
Breathtaking views of London.
Posh frocks and Paparazzi
But there’s definitely trouble in the air …
My review
This is the third part of a series, but it’s not a total requirement to have read the previous parts. Yes of course, it helps if you know what happened previously. But as I was in a time rush, I skipped the previous parts, hoping I could enjoy the story anyway. And luckily the author gave a small reminder of what happened previously.
Constance is an author who has had already plenty of struggles in life. She raises a lovely child, Charlie, all by herself. For a ‘normal’ child, parenthood can be difficult already, but having a child on the autism spectrum and doing a great job, well, just doubled my respect for Constance.
But not only parenthood, also having a broken heart after being dumped at her engagement party made me feel very sorry for Constance.
Luckily for her, there is always a silver lining! She has a great group of friends who she can count on AND she’s been invited to the premier of a movie!
This isn’t just a romantic novel, but a lot of different things happen, there are sweet parts in it, funny parts, heartwarming, but also intriguing parts. As who is the person on Twitter sending these mean tweets?
And Charlie’s dad appears again out of the blue, just as the man who broke her heart. What are they up to?
As stated earlier, a lot of different things happen, and they just keep you hooked!
I found it very hard to put the book away, I was even on the verge of being asocial…
The story pulls you in and just won’t let you go until you’ve reached the end.
It’s a great story about friendship, moving on with your life, knowing when it’s time to forgive. But also knowing when there has been too much damage to forgive.
This story just has it all!
At the beginning of this review, I’ve said I was in a time rush, thus not having time to read the previous parts. But now I’ll know I’ll be reading those parts too, just to enjoy even more the story!
