My review

Even if Heather Douglas adores her little boy and is in love with farmer Rory Fraser, she doesn’t feel truly at home living at the farm. She is not used of taking care of animals and is even a bit afraid of the larger species.
And even is her feelings for Rory are real, she does not feel inclined to accept his marriage proposal, because she cannot imagine getting married without her mother.

When suddenly an opportunity comes, giving her a job she dreamed of years ago, she starts doubting her current life. Especially when the opportunity comes the man who broke her heart years ago.
Is it truly her destiny being with Rory and his farm she so much fears? Or did she make some wrong decisions in the past?

I just love being at Glendale Hall! First, it was amazing reading about my old friends and being happy for how happy they are now!
And then getting to know Heather better, it was a real pleasure!

Heather seems to have it all at first glance. But when we get to know her better, she is fighting her own demons, that are hard to evict.
The fact that she lost her mother, makes it hard to even think about marrying Rory, because she wanted to live those exciting moments with her mother.
And living on a farm, well, I understand her fears! I am not such a fan of big animals and I absolutely cannot imagine myself taking care of those huge animals!

All Heather’s feelings are so understandable and also recognizable. Who hasn’t once thought if the decision has been made in the past?
And will Heather ever feel at home at the farm?

With Stewart coming back in the picture, I first had a terrible fear that I wouldn’t like the story or what would happen next.
But Stewart arriving at Glendale Hall made Heather change for the better. With his big plans for the nearby farm, heather becomes determined to find out what’s going on.
Due several events, not all pleasant ones, Heather starts to fight for her family and the small community she lives in.

I found it truly admirable how Heather started to stand up for everything and everyone she cares about. Slowly she starts finding her place and courage.
Step by step, without even realizing it, she starts making a difference and starts to find herself satisfied with her actions.
She is determined to do the right thing, and will go several lengths to protect her world.

This story showed me that the heart knows better, and knows things before we even we realize it ourselves.
Heather was afraid she wouldn’t fit in at the farm, but her love for Rory made her give it a chance. And when she least expected it, everything fell into place.

Life and love may seem to make you take strange courses but it all happens with a reason. Just don’t give up and find the courage to take steps you once were afraid to, even if it involves big animals! 🤣
