A double wedding to have, but getting there is easier said than done…
Synopsis
When two best friends decide to share their wedding day, what could possibly go wrong?
Jade is over the moon to be tying the knot alongside her best friend, Sarah, at the stunning Bluebell Cliff Hotel in Dorset—a venue where no detail is too small and no expense is spared in the pursuit of perfection.
But as the big day draws closer, so do the complications.
A long-lost relative, a troublesome brother, and some wildly unexpected animal antics all threaten to derail the brides’ dream celebrations.
With emotions running high and chaos around every corner, their perfect day begins to unravel.
Can love and friendship hold everything together when it matters most?
My review
As Jade and Sarah have shared everything together, as best friends do, they couldn’t think of anything better to also share their weddings days. And is there a better place than getting married at the Bluebell Cliff Hotel, where dreams can come true? And with Jade running her animal rescue, things for sure are always exciting, busy and chaotic. Yet she cannot wait to say her ‘I Do’ to Finn. But as closer the wedding days gets, the more complications start to arise… Not only is it all hands aboard at the Duck Pond Rescue, but suddenly someone related to Jade appears out of the blue, changing everything Jade thought to know. And Finn’s brother for sure is up to his usual antics, not having any second thought about how his behaviour affects the people around him. So with all the things happening around the both couples, will they get to their wedding days without any trouble?
What a delight it was to return to my old friends again! It has been a while, so it took me like 2 minutes to remember everything that has happened previously. And as soon as it was all coming back to me, the smile on my face couldn’t get any bigger, so happy I was remembering it all and happy to see what would be next in store for not only Jade and Finn, but all my other friends!
With a wedding approaching, it would be normal to turn into some kind of Bridezilla, or having your focused completely shifting. Any bride would think that the wedding is the highest priority on their list and I for sure wouldn’t blame Jade (or even Sarah) if they would only be focused on their happy days.
However, and I truly liked or rather loved this about the characters, all of the characters, from Jade, Sarah, to Finn, Ben, they all remained the same caring and kind people. Because, and we see this especially with Jade, in time of need and when help is needed, no matter what, Jade is ready there to help.
Even when Jade’s past resurfaces unexpectedly, she acts like the Jade we all know. While this appearance is a real shock to her, she shows her kindness and gentle heart by not just following what she has been told in the past, but believing that every story has two sides, and shows a willingness to listen.
Now, Jade is not a gullible person, we know that too. But she uses her own sense of judgement to put all the pieces of the puzzle together, and while there is a moment where she doubts what to do, she also shows a great sense of forgiveness and acceptance. What a genuine character that Jade is! Many people could use her behaviour and persona as an example!
There are a lot of things happening, where our beloved main character need or are attempting to keep their cool. We see once again with this next instalment how close and united all the people are, which once again warmed my heart.
Of course the hiccups aren’t all that easily solved, but as a united front, where understanding, love and kindness prevail, nothing is insurmountable. And that is the strength of not only the story itself, but of each and every character in this story.
While reading, obviously I had the best of time, because I laughed, my heart melted in several occasions. But I also found myself gasping for air and found myself flabbergasted. And there were moments where I came to terms together with Jade, as not all we thought we knew was the actual truth, but that we also would never get the complete picture or find out the reasoning behind lies that have been told, or truths that has been keep hidden.
And all the above is how things go in real life. You may be looking forward to the happiest day of your life, but things will always happen. Things that may bring you joy, things that change everything you thought to know, things that you never saw coming. But that is the beauty of life, and thus also of this story, you never know what will be happening next. But as long as you have people around you that you love and that love you, one way or another, there will be always perfect moments to share and live.

Thank you so much, as always for being part of my book tour. It’s really appreciated. xxx
