My review

A collection of short stories, that whether taking place in a faraway past, in the present, about a Duke or a postie and even a parrot, that somehow will make you feel good and put a smile on your face.

Sometimes, there are moments that you just don’t have the energy to read a complete book, but you just want to have that happy feeling when reaching the end and where everything is resolved.

So for when you are in that specific mood, I for sure recommend this book. Of course, the downside is that being short stories, you don’t always get to the true essence of the characters, but for a pick – me – up, this is just the perfect reading session(s).

Most of the stories in fact truly put a smile on my face, reading how stubborn people can be yet change their mind. But also how determined people can be to get to their goals. And how somehow, somewhere, things go the right way and make things just work out.

Of course there are some stories that I easily connected with, and some less. Not that I didn’t like them, but I liked them not so much as others. Which is normal I believe…

But if you need something sweet yet also short, something to make you feel warm on the inside, something to put a smile on your face, this for sure is the perfect book for it!

This was my first encounter with this author, and it for sure was a heartwarming, smiling one! 😊
